What is the Verdict?
The Verdict is a alternative to haunted houses designed to challenge participants to consider the consequences that accompany our choices. But unlike so many haunted houses, the Verdict offers a message of hope instead of the gloom and despair so often depicted during this season. The Verdict focuses on the fact that because Jesus Christ was tempted in every way, just as we are, yet was without sin, He is able to help us when we are tempted so the Verdict in our life does not have to be condemnation.
What do you do at the Verdict?
The Verdict is essentially a walking tour, most of which takes place outside. Tours begin at the Middletown Chruch of the Nazarene where participants check in and are assigned a tour group. The tour then leaves the church, travels via hayride to the tour site, walk through the Verdict, and then return via hayride to the church for a closing scene.
Who is the Verdict for?
The Verdict is open to anyone who wishes to attend. Children must attend with a parent or guardian and must have parent's permission to attend. Becuase of the dramatic nature of some scenes, We do not recommend the Verdict for young children.
